Want to know exactly where you are supposed to go vote for the Illinois Primary on February 5th? Or would you like to see the sample ballot for your precinct? Enter your address on the Precinct Finder located on the web site of County Clerk Katherine C. Schultz.
Once you've located the precinct for the address you entered, click "polling place" to find out WHERE to vote on February 5th, or
Click "sample ballot" to get an exact match of WHAT the ballot will look like for that precinct.
If you have any trouble at all, call the Democratic Party of McHenry County at 815-788-9540 (email info@mchenrydems.com) or call the Clerk’s office at 815-334-4242.
Why wait until February 5th? Remove that worry of bad weather or an overly long commute keeping you from your polling place that day. Find an early voting location where you can vote on the day and at the place that is convenient to you.
If you are trying this for the first time, the following "how to" will help:
1. type in house number - TAB
2. type in direction or leave blank unless you have N,S,E,W after the house # - TAB
3. click on the down arrow and choose if you are on a ST, AV or whatever - TAB
4. choose a cardinal direction IF applicable or leave blank - TAB
5. click on the down arrow to choose your town - TAB
6. click "locate precinct" -TAB
A new window comes up. Sometimes you have to make a choice if there are multiple addresses in the county that are look similar to the computer and they want to make sure you are getting the correct information. Just make the best choice. This does not happen for everybody, but does for some.
Another new window comes up, and tells you your Township and Precinct number.
7. click "polling place" to find out WHERE a person from your address goes to vote
8. or Click "sample ballot" to get an exact match of what the ballot will look like for a registered voter from your address.
